Kamal Haasan is the elite actor of South Indian cinema. Ratan Tata posted a picture on microblogging site X and gave the status. In it he wrote, ‘My hero was Ratan Tataji, whom I tried to emulate all my life. He was our national treasure. His contribution to nation building will be written in the story of modern India.’

Reminiscing about his meeting with Ratan Tata, Kamal Haasan writes, ‘His true wealth lies not in material wealth, but in his ethics, humanity and patriotism. I met him at the iconic Taj Hotel after the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Titan stood beside the nation to stand upright in that difficult time of the nation. My condolences to his family, his friends, the Tata Group.’

Bollywood actor Salman Khan posted a condolence post on X. In it he wrote, ‘Deeply saddened by the death of Mr. Ratan Tataji.’

Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher posted on microblogging site X. In it he wrote, ‘Farewell Mr. Ratan Tata. Thank you for your life and life lessons. Thank you for leaving a legacy. Only for India, for the whole world.’
