He portrayed the “Wolfpac” version of Sting during The Icon’s retirement match, a performance that sparked his current trajectory. Borden made his official in-ring debut for AEW in a dark match on December 10, preceding the “Winter is Coming” edition of Dynamite. He secured a victory against Kiran Grey, a fellow trainee from Allin’s camp, in a performance described as “impressive.” This match marked a significant transition, elevating Borden from a promising prospect to an active competitor on the AEW stage.
AEW President Tony Khan expressed enthusiastic support for the second-generation star. “I THOUGHT HE WAS EXCELLENT,” Khan told Fightful. “He’s doing a great job. Very exciting in my opinion.”
