Stock market falls for third day: Sensex falls 241 points | Sensex ends with 241 points down

Mumbai: Indian stock markets closed lower again on Thursday. The Sensex was down 241 points (0.39 per cent) at 60,826. Meanwhile, Nifty fell 71 points (0.39 per cent) to 18,127 on the national bourse.

Thursday morning trade opened with a 300-point gain, but soon turned to the downside. As of 09:49 am, the Sensex was up 176.55 points at 61,243.79. The Nifty was up 12.05 points at 18,211.15 on the national bourse.

Indian stock markets opened on a positive note on Thursday morning due to favorable global conditions. However, the impact of the Indian government’s precautionary measures due to the increasing spread of Corona in China and the fear of the spread of Corona have affected the Indian stock markets. As a result, the trading which started with a boom in the morning ended with a decline.

By the end of today’s trading hours, the Sensex was down 241.02 points at 60,826.22. At the same time, Nifty fell 71.75 points to close at 18,127.35.

In terms of individual stocks, Atlra Tech Cements, Infosys, Asian Paints, Kodak Mahindra Bank, Sun Pharma Industries, Bharti Airtel were the gainers. State Bank of India, Maruti Suzuki, Nestle India, HCL Technologies, ICICI Bank, Wipro, Titan Company, Reliance Industries, TCS, HDFC Bank, HDFC, Power Credit Corporation, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever were among the losers.
