The flow of musicians from abroad continues to flow into Israel, and now they are joined by a particularly beloved African musician: Vio Parke Toure, a singer and guitarist from Mali with a special connection to Israel. Parke Toure will perform on 9.11 at the Barbie Club with his band, who play a mix of world music, blues, rock , Ragi and Polk Maley for bringing it ZUZZ Agency is signed, which also believes in the arrival of Cigarettes After Sex, Fatoumata Diawara and Other Lives to Israel, and many other productions.
The successful musician has had several extraordinary experiences throughout his career – he performed at the opening event of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa alongside artists such as Shakira and Alicia Keys, collaborated on albums with Dave Matthews, the folk band Khruangbin and also with his father, one of the most decorated musicians in the history of Africa and Adam Ranked 76th in Rolling Stone’s list of the greatest guitarists in the world. And they know a thing or two about guitars.
But apart from that, Parka Toure created a special relationship with a musician who is quite familiar to the Israeli audience, to say the least – Idan Reichel. Toura founded with Reichel the duo Toura-Raichl Collective, within which they released three joint albums – and also collaborated in Idan Reichel’s project, for example in the songs “Mon Amour” or “Say God”.
