The chairman of Ramon Space Prof. Ran Ginosar: “When we have such a strong back behind us we can offer customers quality production at competitive prices. The agreement will promote the entire space industry in Israel”

Ramon Spice and Ingrasys, a subsidiary of the Taiwanese Foxconn Group, announced a strategic agreement to supply high-volume space computing products.

As part of the agreement, Ingrasys will manufacture worldwide computing products, and will establish the industry’s first high-volume space computing product line. This collaboration is a significant milestone in the rapidly expanding space economy and marks the first time Ingressis has entered the space industry.

The use of data in space is expected to reach a trillion dollars by 2040, and will constitute the largest market share in the space industry. Furthermore, the development of advanced computing capabilities capable of storing, processing and connecting efficiently in and out of orbit will form the central infrastructure needed to enable growth.

As a result, by combining Ingrasys’ manufacturing capabilities with Ramon Space’s expertise in space technology, the companies aim to disrupt the space industry. This is through adding the most high-quality and cost-effective computing products to global markets, setting a new standard for innovation, accessibility and efficiency in space computing.

“As the leading company in the field of computing infrastructure in the terrestrial world, entry into space computing infrastructure will be another area for us to expand as we continue to see the tremendous potential in space,” said Benjamin Ting, CEO of Ingrasys. “We are happy to cooperate with Ramon Space, the market leader in Halutz The next stage of the space industry and making space computing accessible to everyone.”

In a conversation with CHIPORTAL, the chairman of Ramon Space, Prof. Ran Ginosar, says: “Foxconn is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electronic systems. They want to go into space because they recognize that the space industry is growing and the main growth will be in the manufacturing sector because the large quantities will require more production capabilities which is only planning.”

“They recognized us as a leading manufacturer in the field of space settlement systems. And they cooperated with us. This means that they are building production lines for space that have the dedicated certifications for space standards. In fact, they are developing the production system with our help.

Manufacturing computers for space has three challenges: one, the supply chain to obtain rare chips in the right quantities and at the right times. The second barrier is the production itself and the third – the entire set of in-depth tests, including unique qualifications for space.”

For us they are the manufacturing contractor and the products continue to be our products. This jumps us to a completely different level in the global space industry because in the past I had cases where I offered products but I did not have a good answer as to who would produce and who would check because there is a lack of such production means in the world and the prices are also very high. We make production of the highest quality and competitive price.

As soon as there is such a giant behind us, the question disappears and we almost enjoy all their credit. Except for the largest space companies in the world such as Airbus and Thales, no one has such a special production line as we have now.

Israeli pride. Not only us but all the space manufacturers in Israel have through us access to the most advanced mass creation in the world. Anyone who wants to build satellites with our sensors has a place to manufacture them and this will increase the value of the entire Israeli space industry, not just ours.
