Strengthening cooperation with Tunisia in the field of traditional industries

A bilateral meeting was held to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between Tunisia and Libya in the fields of traditional industries and tourism in various fields.

The meeting was held under the supervision of the Nunsi Minister of Tourism, Sufyan Taqiyya, and the Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries in charge of the National Unity Government, Nasr al-Din Milad al-Fazzani, where “a memorandum of understanding was signed for cooperation in the field of traditional industries between the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Tunisia and the Ministry of Tourism and Traditional Industries of the State of Libya.”

The two sides agreed “to advance cooperation in the field of exchange of experiences, vocational training and rehabilitation, as well as the promotion and marketing axis in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries.”

The Libyan Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries praised “the distinguished level of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, expressing his country’s readiness to cooperate in all programs and initiatives, especially the traditional industries and tourism sectors, which would push these relations to an advanced level through which the common goals of developing these two sectors are embodied.” Vital matters in accordance with the orientations of the two countries and the aspirations of their workers.”

Tunisian Minister of Tourism, Sufyan Taqiyeh, expressed his satisfaction with the distinguished level of cooperation and partnership relations with the Libyan side, especially in the traditional industries sector, appreciating the importance of this meeting to discuss many issues related to various fields of this sector, which reflects the will of both sides to push for more bilateral cooperation in the aforementioned fields. .

He explained, “The joint keenness of the senior leadership of both countries to strengthen these relations and advance them to the stage of a comprehensive strategic partnership.”

The Minister called for “more work within the framework of a joint vision based primarily on strengthening cooperation in the field of developing craft competencies, exchanging successful experiences and expertise, and encouraging investment and partnership in improving the exploitation of raw materials to develop the product and improve its quality in the face of consumer changes in light of the economic, environmental and technological challenges.”

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the State of Libya to Tunisia, Mustafa Qaddara, and the accompanying delegation of Libyan officials in the traditional industries and tourism sectors, represented by Hanan Al-Hassi, Undersecretary for Tourism Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Basha, Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, Fawzi Qashout, Director of the Minister’s Office, and Ali Amer, Director of the Public Relations Office. And the media: Khaled Abdel Wahed, Acting President of the Federation of Tourism Chambers, Mustafa Salem Abu Al-Qasim, Head of the Western Region Bureau, Abdel Fattah Abu Saq, Director of the International Cooperation Office, and Salah El-Din Bashir, the minister’s companion.

From the Tunisian side, the chief of staff of the Ministry of Tourism, a number of general directors of the ministry, general directors of institutions under supervision, and a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Tunisians abroad attended.
