Strong earthquake shakes the coasts of El Salvador

A strong earthquake magnitude 6.3 this Sunday shook the coasts of El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua without causing victims or causing damage, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and local seismology observatories.

The tremor occurred in the Pacific Ocean 50 kilometers southwest from the coastal town of La Libertad, 30 km south of San Salvador, and at a depth of 49.5 km, the USGS reported.

“There is no tsunami threat for El Salvador,” indicated the Ministry of Environment from El Salvador through your X account.
