A strong earthquake magnitude 6.3 this Sunday shook the coasts of El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua without causing victims or causing damage, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and local seismology observatories.
The tremor occurred in the Pacific Ocean 50 kilometers southwest from the coastal town of La Libertad, 30 km south of San Salvador, and at a depth of 49.5 km, the USGS reported.

“There is no tsunami threat for El Salvador,” indicated the Ministry of Environment from El Salvador through your X account.
Likewise, the president of the Central American country, Nayib Bukeleissued a bulletin on its social networks. In this information he detailed that the earthquake took place at 11:18 in the morning in front of the Peace Coast.

The tremor could also be felt in the southern part of Guatemala and in the north of Nicaragua, indicated authorities from both neighboring countries.
The relief agencies of the Central American countries did not report emergencies.

Through social networks, residents of El Salvador They shared some videos of the exact moment in which this earthquake occurred. In the images you can see the movement of vehicles parked on the street, as well as the fall of products in supermarkets.
It is expected that in the next few hours the Salvadoran authorities issue a report on possible damages caused by this tremor.
