Students from Bulgarian and foreign higher schools can conduct their summer internship in all structures of the state administration throughout the country, within the framework of the Program for Student Internships in the Administration, managed and coordinated by the Council of Ministers. This is reported by the government information service.
The application is online, starts on March 23 and continues until May 9, 2024.
By choosing an internship under the program, students get the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the structure and functions of the Bulgarian state administration, gain practical experience and new professional skills, and refine their personal career development plans. Nearly 500 positions for student internships are already open from the structures of the administration.
All internship positions are published on the specialized module of the Portal for jobs in the state administration jobs.government.bg. In order to guarantee optimal choices for students, the announcements are selected by field of higher education, not by professional direction.
The minimum and maximum duration of internships is from 5 to 20 working days, which allows students to carry out more internships without disrupting their study process.
The publication of the advertisements, the initial selection of the candidates and the ranking are done entirely online on the portal. Conducting the interviews and the internships themselves can be both in-person and remotely. Internships continue to be unpaid.
