Hyderabad Couple’s Lattu Company Soars to Success, Turns Crores in Revenue
Sandeep Jogiparthi and Kavita Gobu, a couple from Hyderabad, Telangana, have made a name for themselves as the successful founders of Lattu Box, a company that specializes in creating traditional handmade lattu sweets with a healthy twist. Both Sandeep and Kavita, who previously studied engineering and worked in America, returned to their hometown in 2019 with the intention of starting a business in Hyderabad.
After extensive research and travel across the country, Sandeep decided to combine his knowledge of the food and health segments to create a line of desserts that not only satisfied the eater but also offered health benefits. The couple used jaggery made from sugarcane instead of sugar in their traditional lattu sweets.
With an initial investment of Rs.1 lakh, the couple began marketing their handmade sweets at various exhibitions and IT companies, which led to a surge in follow-up calls and bulk orders. In May 2020, they officially established Lattu Box and expanded their product line to include 15 different types of lattu, from Multigrain Lattu to Groundnut Lattu.
Despite challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company persevered and has seen significant success. The annual turnover of Lattu Box is projected to reach Rs.2 crore by 2023, and the company plans to open 100 stores in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR over the next two years.
In addition to direct sales through their stores in Hyderabad, Lattu Box also supplies lattu through online and B2B channels, allowing them to reach a wide customer base. The couple’s dedication to their business and their unique approach to traditional desserts has earned them widespread acclaim and financial success.
