The ‘Suchitra Sen International Bangla Film Festival’ has been organized in the United States in the name of Bengali film legend Suchitra Sen. The festival is going to be held for two days on April 20 and 21 at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center in New York. It will be presented by Shahriar Nazim Joy. Joy herself revealed the information on social media.
In this context, Joy said, I have done several shows in New York before. However, this is the first time I have joined the two Bengali film related events. It feels good to be given the responsibility of presenting such an international festival like Suchitra Sen International Bengali Film Festival. It will become a meeting place for film lovers.
It is known that Suchitra Sen Memorial USA is organizing this festival. 10 feature films, 5 documentaries, 5 short films of two Bengals will be screened in the two-day festival. So far 200 movies have been submitted. Selected films from there will be screened at the festival.
Actress Rituparna Sengupta inaugurated the festival’s logo and website at an event organized in Jamaica on January 28. Later he also attended a press conference in Dhaka.
