The film is based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath.

After the Hindi remake, director Sudha Kongara is said to be making a film based on the life of famous businessman Ratan Tata. It is said that the first stage of story consultation is going on and the shooting of this new film is going to start next year. Also, it seems that either actor Suriya or Abhishek Bachchan will play the role of Ratan Tata in this film.
