BCCI does not allow players who have not retired from domestic matches to play in foreign leagues. If the player plays in foreign leagues without the permission of BCCI, then the player will lose all the privileges of the cricket board. Following this, only Indian players who have announced their retirement from international and domestic competitions have played in foreign leagues.

Raina is likely to feature in both the South African Cricket Board’s T20 League and the UAE League, which are set to feature big international players. Even though IPL does not get the salary, compared to other leagues, you can get better salary from these leagues.
