According to ICC rules, both teams must bat at least 5-5 overs for the match to end in the group stage. But that changed in the knockout round. Now both teams have to play at least 10 overs each. The final of the tournament is scheduled to be held on November 13. If the final is not played due to rain, the match will be declared a draw. Both teams will be declared the winner as per ICC rules. T20 World Cup has never been won jointly in history.
The total prize money of the T20 World Cup will be 45 crores. 13 crores for the champion team and 6.5 crores for the runner up team. Rs 3.26 crore will be given to the losing team in the semi-finals and Rs 57 lakh to the teams who are eliminated in the Super-12 round. This time there were many big failures in the competition.
