The Taiwanese Air Force intends to conduct night flight exercises for the first time in several years. This was reported by the Central News Agency of Taiwan, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.

According to him, the exercises will take place from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning. As the material emphasizes, these are the first such exercises in many years.

According to the agency, they will involve Taiwanese-made IDF fighters, American F-16Vs and French Mirage-2000s. Hualien, Hsinchu and Tainan air bases will be used to organize night flights.

The material highlights that the Taiwanese Air Force has not conducted night exercises for several years due to concerns that loud noise from aircraft could disturb local residents at night.

Taiwan has been governed by its own administration since 1949, when the remnants of the Kuomintang forces led by Chiang Kai-shek (1887-1975) fled there after being defeated in the Chinese Civil War. Beijing considers Taiwan one of the provinces of the People’s Republic of China.
