A Kabul University professor tore up his certificates during a televised debate. The protest was against the action of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, which banned university education for girls. The incident took place during a discussion on Tolo News. The footage was tweeted by Shabnam Nazimi, a former policy advisor in the Afghan government.
The tweet says that the professor who participated in the discussion tore up the certificates saying why he got the education that his sisters didn’t get. A strong protest against the ban on university education continues. The boys had boycotted the class the previous day.
