Tamil Nadu student beats world number one chess player

16-year-old Pragyananda from Tamil Nadu has set a record by defeating world chess champion Magnus Carlsen.

He has been lauded by many, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

The ‘Earthings Masters Rapid’ chess tournament is being held online. 16 players from different countries have participated in it.

In this situation, Pragyananda faced the world’s number one player Magnus Carlsen. He won the match during the 39th move. Following this, compliments are heaped on him.

Chief Minister MK Stalin lauded Pragyananda for astonishing the entire world with this victory.
