A consultation meeting was held on behalf of Pollachi Athletics Association. Pollachi Athletic Association administrators Kannan, Sureshkumar, Parthasarathy, Dharmadurai and Nagaraj, Gurumurthy Basketball Association, Mahalingam Football Association, administrators and sports enthusiasts participated.

All the grounds in Pollachi schools have been converted into school classroom buildings. Students lack opportunities to improve their sportsmanship. Only the Pollachi Municipal Boys High School ground is in use.
This ground is a field for all sports like cricket, football and volleyball. Due to this, there is occasional conflict between athletes.
Due to lack of adequate facilities, the talent is paralyzed and the interest in the game is reduced among the players. Sportspersons are unable to get government jobs due to inadequate facilities. Many go to other cities for sports.
Not being able to play at the school level leads to a situation where they are unable to show their talent even if they have a chance in college.
Also, the time allotted for sports in schools is paved for taking up other subjects. If this situation continues, the students will not know the names of the sports.
As important as education is, so much importance should be given to sports. Sports are essential to improve physical fitness.
Students need a platform to improve their skills. Years of requests to no avail. Players, all sports associations will jointly urge the government.

Subsequently, resolutions were passed including insisting on the necessity of setting up a stadium with the government.
