IN Azerbaijan Cultural Center (ACC) named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan, an open lesson on the topic “Let’s get to know Azerbaijan“, the press service of the ACC reported to Day.Az.
At the opening, Deputy Director of the ACC Nadir Alimirzaev spoke about the history and development of Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations, culture, literature, traditions of our peoples, which have common roots, emphasizing that relations go back to ancient times and, especially in recent years, have been constantly expanding.
They spoke about the occupation of 20 percent of the territory of Azerbaijan by Armenia for almost 30 years and about the Great Victory we achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020. Information about the reading competition was also brought to the attention of “Pearls of Azerbaijani poetry“, announced in March 2024 by the ACC and the Monitoring Center under the State Language Commission of Azerbaijan among students of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami (TSPUN) and TSUV.
An employee of the Monitoring Center, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Myatanyat Khudieva noted that the main goal of holding the reading competition was to strengthen fraternal relations between our peoples.
The winners of the competition who took the first three places are: Lazizbek Nomozov, Rano Boriboeva And Feruza Sultanovashared their impressions of the trip to Baku.
Students visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum, the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Friendship Museum, the Museum of History and Statehood of Azerbaijan, the Carpet Museum and the exhibition hall at the ACC. We were able to get up close and personal with exhibits, books, musical instruments, national costumes, etc., reflecting the history and culture of both countries. An open lesson on the topic “Let’s get to know Azerbaijan” was presented.
It should be noted that since 2023, on the basis of the ACC project “Teaching and Promoting the Azerbaijani Language”, teaching of the Azerbaijani language has begun at TSPUN and TSUV.
