It has been two weeks since it became known that Hans Petter Bjarøy, also called the “bankruptcy king”, has bought up the bankruptcy estate of the electronics chain Teknikmagasinet.
The Swedish company, which first came to Norway in 2005, has 25 stores and around 150 employees in this country.

Now, however, it is over, and in the last few weeks there have been discontinued sales.
– The status now is that we are starting to approach the end, says Bjarøy to Nettavisen.
– During the next week we will be finished, I would assume, he continues.

Hell of a price cut
Several of Teknikmagasinet’s stores have already closed their doors, but the vast majority are still open.
Bjarøy does not have figures for exactly how much they have managed to sell as of today.
– But it’s been going pretty well, he says.

But before Teknikmagasinet is history, he can tempt you with juicy price cuts.
– Now it is coming to an end, so now it is 50 percent. If the customers are to have goods, they are starting to have a hard time, says Bjarøy.
Teknikmagasinet has closed its stores in Drammen, Skien, Sandnes and Kristiansand.

Not the first time
As recently as 2020, Teknikmagasinet last went bankrupt. Then Swedish Ambia Trading Group came in as a saving angel, before they again sold the company on to Matera Retail Group in December of the same year.
According to Tek.no, the company had a loss of NOK 433,000 in 2022 and a turnover of NOK 102 million.
