BJP Accuses Congress and PRS of Voter Bribery Ahead of Telangana Elections

As the Telangana assembly election is set to take place tomorrow, BJP has accused Congress and PRS of distributing money to voters in order to sway the election in their favor. Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Kishan Reddy made the accusation after visiting the Bhagya Lakshmi Temple in Hyderabad.

“Since yesterday morning, various parties especially Congress and PRS parties have been distributing money to voters. The Election Commission should prevent this. Elections should be peaceful. There should be an environment for people to vote freely. Alcohol is distributed. The Election Commission should stop that too. We must ensure that the elections are conducted in a peaceful and healthy manner,” he stressed.

The Election Commission is actively engaged in ensuring that the elections are held without any problems, with preparations being carried out in full swing. A three-way contest is expected between the ruling PRS, Congress, and BJP, with the votes set to be counted on the 3rd.

Reddy also appealed to all Telangana voters to exercise their right to vote and prayed for the election of a good government. “I prayed to Goddess Pakyalakshmi that good people should become rulers. Through that, a lot of good work should be done in the state,” he said.

With the election date fast approaching, the allegations of voter bribery are increasing tensions between the political parties. The BJP is calling on the Election Commission to prevent any form of voter bribery or unfair election practices in order to ensure a peaceful and fair election process.
