German start-ups received more money from investors last year than ever before. A total of almost 17.4 billion euros went to young local companies. That was twelve billion euros more than in 2020, according to the latest start-up barometer from the consulting firm EY, formerly Ernst & Young. Companies that were founded no more than ten years ago were taken into account for the analysis.
