Tension at Shambu and Kanavuri borders as Farmers from Punjab Blocked from Entering Delhi

by time news

Chandigarh:

Farmers who had marched from Punjab to protest against Delhi have been stopped at Shambu and Kanavuri borders bordering Aryana. The police have put up strong barricades and strengthened security to prevent people from crossing these borders and entering Delhi. Due to this farmers are camping and protesting in those border areas.

Farmers, who refused to accept the promise given by the central government regarding the minimum support price, tried to leave for Delhi again today. They were advancing towards the barricades set up by the police. Noticing this, the police fired tear gas shells and chased away the farmers. In the next step, the farmers have their JCP. And it seems possible to try to break through the barricades and advance using the Bokline machines. Due to this there is excitement and tension.

Booklines and JCP Demolition of barricades using machinery will create law and order problem. A large number of police and paramilitary personnel are ready to deal with the situation should such a situation arise.

Arbit Jain, Superintendent of Police, Jhajjar District of Aryana, said about the security arrangements:-

All DSPs in the district are on security duty. We are ready to face any situation. All security personnel are specially trained. Strict legal action will be taken against those who try to disrupt law and order by entering the state. The public is advised to follow the traffic guidelines we regularly announce through X and other social media and newspapers. People don’t panic.

This is what he said.

Apart from this, Punjab Minister Balbir Singh has urged the Aryana government and the central government to allow the farmers to go to Delhi and protest peacefully.
