Teodora Borisova-Petrova, a longtime history and culture teacher at NGDEK, a graduate of the school, died at the age of 50.

“Everyone who knew her knew what a cheerful person she was and what a smile she always taught her students,” wrote another user.
“Teddy Beau, as everyone called her, was the most cheerful teacher I ever had. She only taught our graduating class in the 11th grade when we studied Byzantine culture. She spoke to us with great love about her dear Constantinople and, I always thought, perhaps not only because of the coincidence of the names, as if the Byzantine empress Theodora, as we know her from the mosaics, had come before us to embody the Byzantine. Then, as a teacher, I also saw with what energy she transmitted all this spiritual joy to her colleagues as well, so they can spread it too.
