At least 40 people died as a result of a shooting at the Crocus City Hall shopping center in the Moscow region. At least 100 people were injured.
Unknown people opened fire from a machine gun in a shopping center before a concert of the Picnic group.
The Russian news agency RIA Novosti claims that three men in camouflage opened fire.
But the video shows that there were five besiegers in Crocus City Hall. They shot visitors to the concert of the Picnic group.
Eyewitnesses also report an explosion in the Crocus City Hall building. Plumes of black smoke are visible above the building.
The bassist of the Picnic group, Marat Korchemny, told the Petersburg Diary that the entire group was saved.
“The shooting started in the hall just before the concert. A series of shots rang out. The whole group was saved, everyone is safe, now we are trying to evacuate,” he said.
More than 50 ambulance crews rushed to the building. Helicopters were also sent to extinguish the fire.
More and more bodies are being taken out of Crocus.
Previously, one of the attackers managed to escape from the place.
