The last grand prize of the literary season, the Medicis rewarded the rising star of Quebec literature on Thursday, November 9.

After the Goncourt and the Fémina, the Médicis prize was awarded on Thursday November 9 to Kevin Lambert, author of Let our joy remain. He had already won the December prize at the end of October, which opened the literary season.

There were eight contenders in the running, including Eric Reinhardt and Neige Sinno, crowned by Femina, but also young revelations like the Franco-Swiss Elisa Shua Dusapin or the Moroccan Salma El Moumni, finalist with Adieu Tanger.

Two authors jointly won the Medici Prize for a foreign novel. The Portuguese Lidia Jorge for Misericordia and the South Korean Han Kang for Impossible Farewells both obtained four votes in the seventh round.

In 2022, the writer Emmanuelle Bayamack-Tam was awarded the prestigious distinction for her novel La Treizième Heure, published by POL editions.
