BMW has introduced the third generation BMW X1 (Bmw 3rdGen X1) in the Indian market.

German luxury car manufacturer BMW sells cars with various technical features in India. Especially its X series models are very popular. X2 X5, X6, X7, many models are on sale in that line. Following this, the much awaited next generation X1 model has been launched in the Indian market.

As far as the BMW X1 is concerned, the EDrive 18i XLine (Petrol) (xLine18i and MSport 18d) and the EDrive 18t M Sport will be available in a total of 2 variants. In terms of performance, the X1 EDrive18i is powered by a 1499 cc 3-cylinder petrol engine as compared to the Xline variant. It delivers 134 bhp of power at 4400 – 6500 rpm. 230 Nm of torque is delivered at 1500-4000 rpm mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.

Likewise, the EDrive 18T M Sport gets a 2.0 liter turbo charged 4 cylinder diesel engine. It churns out 147.5 bhp of power and 360 NM of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The petrol variant weighs 1500 kg and the diesel variant weighs 1575 kg.

Of this, the X1 EDrive18i Xline variant can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 9.2 seconds. It can reach a maximum speed of 208 kmph. The petrol variant of this car has been certified by ARAI to deliver a mileage of 16.3 kmpl. Next up is the EDrive 18T M Sport which can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 8.9 seconds. This car can reach a top speed of 210 kmph. As far as mileage is concerned this car is capable of delivering up to 20.37 kmpl mileage wise.

Various changes have been made to the 3rd generation BMW X1. A large kidney grille, LED headlights for a sleek front, front bumper with a sleek air intake area on the side and a large air intake area in the middle are provided with various stylish designs. It also has 18-inch alloy wheels and a rear spoiler.

Apart from that, various changes have been brought inside the cabin as well. The day board is fitted with a single pane curved glass. It has a 10.25-inch driver display and a 10.7-inch infotainment screen. It has OS 8 installed with BMW iDrive system. The main highlight is that both the variants are offered with sports seats. The diesel variant gets active seats only for the driver and front passenger. An in-seat massage option is also offered for the front passenger.

The BMW X1 SDrive 18IX Line is available for sale at Rs 45.90 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 47.90 lakh for the BMW X1 SDrive 18tm Sport variant.
