The sixth and final season of the hit Netflix series ‘The Crown’ is underway: the actors chosen to portray the characters of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, are now revealed.

Meg Bellamy (19), a graduate of Middle School in the city of Wokingham, will appear in her professional debut as Kate Middleton, after sending a recorded audition following a casting call published on social networks. Bellamy will play Middleton in the period before her entry into the royal family, when she was still a student at the University of St. Andrews, where she met her future husband.

The young actors Rufus Kempe (16) and Ed McVeigh (21) will both portray Prince William in two different periods; Kempe while the palace was dealing with the death of his mother Princess Diana, and McVay in the prince’s late teens.

Bellamy posted on her Instagram account and wrote: “For someone to scratch me, it is a great honor for me to join the excellent cast, and I will do everything in my power to carry out the task faithfully.”
