BOLZANO. During the evaluation conference at the Civil Protection Agency of the Province of Bolzano, it was decided to downgrade the alpha alert level to normal state (zero). The alert status report still shows a yellow level for mass movements and debris flows. All other risks are now in the green band.
The situation has eased. The climate, autumnal and calm, is normal. No other significant events are expected for Civil Protection. Yesterday afternoon, water levels were similar to Wednesday. After briefly exceeding early warning levels, all water levels are now below that threshold.
Meteorological phenomena and natural events in South Tyrol are evaluated daily by the Provincial Functional Center of the Civil Protection Agency and published in the alert bulletin. The basis for the evaluation is weather forecasts. On these, hydrologists, geologists and foresters evaluate the situation and therefore the possible threat of natural events.
