A solo exhibition of artist Boaz Barkani (curator: Irit Mor) who presents two bodies of work – both enigmatic and accessible at the same time. One, 16 oil paintings in muddy shades of gray and brown; The second, a series of white sheets of paper folded over and over to form 16 equal parts on each of which are 12 small and almost identical drawings in soft pencil.

Alternative relationships // The light boxes in old Jaffa

31 graduates of the fashion design department in Shankar present their final works in 60 light boxes in the alleys of Old Jaffa. The graduate designs were photographed by photographer Adi Segal, and they allow a rare glimpse behind the scenes of one of the most important fashion shows this year.

No fewer than six new exhibitions will be opened this weekend at the Haifa Museum, among them – solo exhibitions by the artists Nardin Srouji and Oded Hirsch; an exhibition of prints from the Gottsman Engraving Center in Kibbutz Kabri and a dedicated multi-sensory space for the whole family.

The Journeys of the East // The Museum of Islamic Culture and the Peoples of the East in Be’er Sheva

A historical exhibition that looks at the intercultural meeting born from the visit of European and American artists, researchers and tourists to the Middle East from the beginning of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Along with this, four contemporary works by Israeli artists are displayed – Elad Oren, Eliyahu Arik Bukovza, Dor Gaz and a joint work by Yael Sonino-Levi and Tamar Shalit-Avni – which correspond directly to the exhibits in the exhibition.
