The Iraqi Athletics Federation is holding the second round of the Iraqi Clubs and Institutions Championship for all categories in Sulaymaniyah, for the period from the seventh to the ninth of next March, while some events from the championship precede it in the holy city of Najaf.
The Federation’s Executive Director, Zaidoun Jawad, said in a statement received by the (INA): “The championship will be held in Sulaymaniyah, but due to the lack of a pole vault, the Federation decided to hold the pole vault race and the combined decathlon and half marathon races in Najaf Al-Ashraf, on the first and second of next March.” While all races for various categories will be held in Sulaymaniyah on the seventh of next March and will continue until the ninth of the same month.”
Jawad added, “The technical conference for the championship will be held at 4 p.m. on March 6 at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Sulaymaniyah.”
