The government will increase the Barnier fund, created by the current prime minister in 1995, when he was environment minister, by 75 million euros to bring it to 300 million euros in 2025, Michel Barnier announced on Friday. “We propose to increase this fund by €75 million in 2025 to reach €300 million in commitments from this fund next year”explained the head of government while traveling in the Rhone, where he visited an area devastated by last week’s floods.
