At the same time, the total market capitalization of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) decreased by 6 thousand 897 crore 47 lakh taka in the last week.
This information was revealed on the basis of DSE’s weekly market review on Saturday (October 19).
According to the data, DSE’s main index DSEX fell by 164.08 points or 3.03 percent to 5 thousand 257 points during the week. Among other indices, the DSE-30 index fell by 54.59 points or 2.75 percent to 1,930 points, the DSE Shariah index by 31.74 points or 2.63 percent to 1,174 points and the DSMEX index (SME Index) by 1.52 points. Or 0.14 percent decreased to 1 thousand 113 points.
On the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capitalization stood at Tk 6 lakh 69 thousand 116 crore 53 lakh. And on the last working day of the week before the farewell week, the market capitalization of DSE was 6 lakh 74 thousand 416 crore 57 lakh taka. That is, the market capital has decreased by 5 thousand 250 crore 3 lakh taka in the span of a week.
1 thousand 272 crore 2 lakh taka was traded in Dhaka stock exchange in the last week. And the week before the farewell week, the transaction was 1 thousand 466 crore 72 lakh rupees. That is, the transaction in DSE decreased by Tk 194 crore 70 lakh within a week.
A total of 396 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE in the outgoing week. Among the companies, 34 increased, 345 decreased and 17 remained unchanged. And 17 were not traded.
In Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the overall index of CSE has decreased by 313.85 points or 2.07 percent to 14 thousand 821 points. Among other CSE indices, CSE-30 index fell by 1.59 percent to 12,106 points, CSCX by 1.95 percent to 9,120 points, CSI index by 2.23 percent to 960 points and SESMEX (SME Index) by 0.33 percent to 2 Thousand stands at 469 points.
On the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 4 thousand 996 crore 72 lakh taka. And on the last working day of the week before the farewell week, the market capitalization of CSE was 7 lakh 6 thousand 644 crore 16 lakh taka. in money That is, the market capital has decreased by 1 thousand 647 crores 44 lakhs within a week.
30 crore 20 lakh taka was traded in Chittagong Stock Exchange in the last week. And in the week before the farewell week, Tk 35 crore 7 lakh was traded. That is, the transaction in CSE decreased by 5 crore 3 lakh rupees within a week.
A total of 296 companies’ shares and units were traded on the CSE in the outgoing week. Among the companies, 69 advanced, 216 declined and 11 were unchanged.
