Around the four young women suspected of trying to smuggle drugs into Israel responded today (Sunday) to their arrest following the court’s decision to allow their identities to be published. Avivit Magidish, the cousin of the 22-year-old suspect Lee Poni from Kiryat Gat, wrote in a Facebook post that “My aunt is crushed , she never dreamed that her daughter would be in the headlines because of something like this.”

“I want to sort things out a bit here, and I choose here and not on Instagram,” Magidish wrote at the beginning of her remarks, explaining that she chose to do so following “all the fake messages sent to me about my cousin by some disgruntled Kiryat Gathiat girls.”
“I will sort out all the whispers, because whoever asked me – I answered,” Magidish added. “Yes, Lee Poni is my cousin, and yes, a good family, and yes, a family that has never broken the law. Lee has always been a good girl and an inseparable part of us. What you see and hear on the news is what we hear on the news. What keeps you updated is what we are are updated (on it)”.
“We don’t know if and what caused the girls to come to this situation,” stressed Poni’s cousin. “Believe me, the whole family is shocked, not just the public. She attached a picture of a pony to the message, and wrote: “I chose to put a picture of her. That’s it, now start taking a screenshot.
