Journalists have named the preliminary cause of death at the age of 57 of the Soviet and Russian singer, former member of the Na-Na group Vladimir Levkin. Previously, his wife Marina Ichetovkina reported that the musician died at night.
As the Shot Telegram channel recalls, at the beginning of the 2000s, a serious illness forced the artist to leave the stage for a long time and confined him to a hospital bed. Levkin was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphatic system cancer.
However, the musician did not give up; he underwent complex treatment, a bone marrow transplant and defeated the disease. In 2012 there was a relapse. Levkin had to undergo chemotherapy and a second bone marrow transplant. The musician subsequently returned to the stage.
Recently, Levkin always wore dark glasses and claimed that he was forced to do so due to the consequences of the disease. Last Friday, the singer was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Botkin hospital with pneumonia, and the day before he was transferred to the hematology department.
