Located in the commune of Drarga in Agadir, the CMC Souss-Massa offers an overall capacity of 3,000 educational places, to which will be added 420 places offered by the Specialized Institute in agro-industry, as an antenna to the CMC, which is being built in partnership with the Souss-Massa region, indicates a press release from the Office of Professional Training and Labor Promotion (OFPPT).
Designed in an innovative spirit, the CMC is organized around modern infrastructures promoting immersive training and a unique learning experience, bringing together professional centers, common structures and living spaces open to all learners.
This new generation establishment offers an innovative training offer within 11 business centers, in line with the skills needs of the regional ecosystem and equipped with 6 integrated application platforms allowing scenarios close to the reality of the ‘business.
These are the Industry Pole including an educational factory, Tourism & Hospitality Pole, with an educational hotel and restaurant, Management & Commerce Pole with a virtual company, Agriculture Pole, with a 2 hectare educational farm, Health Pole equipped with an educational care unit, Construction Center including a smart home, Graphic Arts & Industries Center, Digital & Artificial Intelligence Center, Crafts Center, Fishing Center and Agro-industry Center (branches).
CMC Souss-Massa has a diversified training offer of 81 sectors, 60% of which are newly created. Learners will thus benefit from a wide range of diploma and qualification training, covering the 11 sectors mentioned above and meeting the demand of the job market.
It should be noted that the definition of the training map of the CMC Souss-Massa, like the 11 other Cities in the Program, was the subject of extensive consultation with the holding of 78 exchange workshops and reflection and the contribution of 1,200 participants including representatives of ministerial departments, the CGEM, Federations and Professional Associations.
The regional restitution then held on August 6, 2019 with regional stakeholders made it possible to develop a co-constructed map adapted to the specificities of the territory.
In addition to the updated training offer, CMC trainees will benefit from an efficient and energy-liberating educational model, characterized by Learning by doing, active pedagogy, the inclusion of Digital through digital learning. and simulation software, as well as the strengthening of soft skills (digital, linguistic and entrepreneurial skills), which represent up to 30% of the program.
Furthermore, and with a view to introducing learners to collaboration, sharing of ideas and creativity, the CMC has an innovation chain (Coworking, Fablab, Incubator and Digital Factory), a center of languages and Soft Skills as well as a media library. The CMC also has a career guidance center which provides support for young people from training to the end of their careers and support for their integration into the professional world.
Beyond the educational infrastructure, the CMC also houses a trainee house with an accommodation and catering capacity of 400 beds and meals, a cafeteria, sports fields and several meeting spaces.
Today, the CMC is operational thanks to a team of 178 employees including 139 trainers, all qualified and committed to supporting tomorrow’s talents by leveraging their expertise and using new teaching methods placing the learner at the forefront. heart of the learning process.
It should be remembered that the CMC Souss-Massa is part of the program of 12 Cities of Trades and Skills across the Kingdom, project 2 of the new roadmap for the development of professional training, presented before SM the King in April 2019. The objective being to promote the employability of young people, the creation of value at the territorial level and the competitiveness of businesses.
This return to school will also be marked by the upcoming start of training in the Cities of Trades and Skills in the Oriental regions at the end of October and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra at the beginning of November.
Furthermore, the CMCs of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima and Béni Mellal-Khénifra will be ready to welcome trainees in early 2023. Construction work continues for the CMCs of Casablanca-Settat, Marrakech- Safi, Fès-Meknes, Drâa-Tafilalet, Guelmim-Oued Noun and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab.
