Rishabh Pant’s return to cricket is uncertain after the horrific road accident. Pant did not succumb, this Indian cricketer has recovered following proper treatment and rules. Jai Shah told the Press Trust of India (PTI) that the responsibility behind the wicket will play an important role in Panter’s return to the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. Pant has to be fluent in keeping to play in the World Cup.
Jai Shah said, ‘He is batting well, keeping well. We will declare him fit very soon. If he plays in the T20 World Cup, it will be a great achievement for us. He is our greatest asset. If he can keep, he can play in the World Cup.’
Before the World Cup, Pant’s big test is in the IPL. However, Delhi Capitals have no plans to bring him down to keeping in the beginning. So there is a strong possibility that Pant will be seen only as a batsman in the early stages of the IPL. After understanding the situation, a decision will be taken regarding his keeping.
This year’s IPL will start on March 22. Delhi will start the season with a match against Punjab Kings the day after the opening day. His team hopes to get Pant from this match.
