On December 20, three more complaints of investigative journalist Hafiz Babali were considered at the Baku Court of Appeal.

Turan was informed about this by lawyer Rasul Jafarov.

One of the complaints was related to the request for financial information about the journalist (tax payments, bank accounts, information about securities). Another complaint was related to the freezing of bank accounts and cards, including a pension card. (Babali is the third group of disabled people). The third complaint was related to the request for information about Babali’s participation in non-commercial structures.

The Court of Appeals did not satisfy all complaints and based on the presentation of the investigation body, it upheld the decisions of the Court of Errors dated November 29.

Today, the Baku Court of Appeals did not satisfy the complaints of other jailed “Abzas Media” journalists, their family members, and other persons involved in this case regarding disclosure of financial information, blocking of bank accounts and cards.

It should be noted that the investigation also blocked the pension cards of the mothers of the imprisoned director of “Abzas Media” Ulvi Hasanli and Sevinj Vagifgizy.
