Kochi: Actor Dileep, one of the main accused in the actress attack case, was hacked to death by his servant Dasan. According to the employee, Dileep’s lawyers forbade him to say anything to the police regarding Balachandra Kumar who made a crucial revelation against Dileep. Asianet News received a copy of the statement given by him in front of the investigating officers.
Director Balachandra Kumar made the crucial revelation that he had seen the attacked scenes of Dileep and conspired to assassinate the investigating officers. Dileep’s close friend used to come to his house regularly. During this time, Balachandra Kumar recorded some crucial remarks regarding Dileep’s attack on the actress. Following this, a conspiracy case was registered against Dileep and the court directed to conduct further investigation in the case of attacking the actress.

The High Court will today hear a petition filed by the first accused actor Dileep (dileep) seeking quashing of the case of conspiracy to kill the investigating officers. The probe team had yesterday given an affidavit that Dileep had destroyed crucial mobile phone data in the case. The FIR alleges that Dileep and his brother Anoop and other accused conspired to endanger the investigating officers in the case. Earlier, the High Court had granted anticipatory bail to Dileep and his co-accused in the case.

According to the affidavit of actor Dileep, the crime branch has destroyed the evidence on the phone in the case of conspiracy to murder the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. The phones were found to have been formatted in Mumbai after the High Court ordered the phones to be handed over. The probe team told the court that Dileep had deliberately tried to destroy the evidence.
The crime branch conducted a cyber forensic examination on six phones, including that of Dileep, his brother Anoop and his sister-in-law Suraj. It was thought that the phones would be the main evidence to prove the involvement of Dileep and his co-accused in the murder conspiracy case. The High Court had on January 29 ordered the handing over of the phones. However, a scientific investigation has revealed that the data on the four phones taken to Mumbai on the same day and the next day was deleted.
