The closing ceremony of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan, organized by the Ministry of Culture, took place at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater, Day.Az reports.
The event was attended by the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli, the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Altynbek Maksutov, cultural and artistic figures of the two countries, and representatives of the public.
Guests got acquainted with an exhibition of works by masters of decorative, applied and fine arts of Kyrgyzstan, a collection of clothing and samples of national cuisine presented in the foyer of the theater.
At the opening of the evening, the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Altynbek Maksutov emphasized that Culture Days play a big role in the further development of cultural ties between the two countries.
The minister emphasized the enormous opportunities for Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan to demonstrate national cultural diversity, noting that the friendship and brotherhood of the Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz peoples are based on cultural ties, common values, and fruitful ties in the modern era will bring our peoples even closer together.
“We are confident that our cultural cooperation will expand. The Kyrgyz people have great respect for Nizami Ganjavi, Uzeir Hajibeyli, Gara Garayev, Rashid Behbudov, Muslim Magomayev, Polad Bulbuloglu and other literary and cultural figures of Azerbaijan. We will implement new projects that will bring our peoples closer, deepen our cultural cooperation,” the minister noted, expressing gratitude for the hospitality and desire to see the masters of art of our country at the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Kyrgyzstan.
Altynbek Maksutov awarded the medal “For Contribution to the Development of Culture and Art of the Kyrgyz Republic” to the writer-translator, head of the world literature department of the Azerbaijan State Translation Center Nariman Abdulrahmanly.
Masters of art from the fraternal country performed a large concert program. Musical and dance numbers at the gala concert, including the performance of Azerbaijani compositions “Səndən nigaranam” and “Azərbaycan”, were met with applause from the audience.
