UN-FVG DECLARATION No. 003/14/10/24

The political parties and coalitions united within the sacred union of the living forces of Guinea, attached to their natural role, follow with sustained attention the evolution of the socio-political situation of our country. We are doing it more during this particularly worrying phase of the transition. Especially since the majority of the People of Guinea impatiently await the return to constitutional order.

Indeed, we have been able to observe that the duration and timetable of the transition are not being shared by all political actors and the authorities as previously promised in the charter. of the transition, which the country has been endowed with.

At this rate, if no preventive action is taken immediately, our country risks experiencing another tumultuous page in its history, linked to the end of the transition scheduled for December 31, 2024, according to the dynamic agreement between the CNRD and the ECOWAS.

Unfortunately none of the signatories of this agreement were able to respect its content, which is why we Guinean political actors in the face of history, it is up to us to facilitate the conduct of the transition to the CNRD despite the deliberately orchestrated delay of certain officials. in charge of the departments concerned for the return to constitutional order. Given the stakes, the CNRD and Guinean political actors must come together as compatriots to reclassify the content of the transition so that the international community is reassured and convinced that the Guinean crises are now being replayed among Guineans. As a reminder, the political parties members of the US-FVG were among those who think that this transition should end as planned, but it appears that given the current situation, especially with the explosion of the central hydrocarbon depot of Kaloum, this date could hardly hold.

However, convinced of the virtues of dialogue and attached to patriotic values, the political parties of the US-FVG are now part of the dynamic of redefining the main axes which lead to the return to constitutional order, through the organization of a national consultation which will bring together the CNRD, the different components of the nation and will make it possible to discuss subjects of national interest, with a view to avoiding another crisis in Guinea beyond December 31, 2024.

Today, no one is unaware of the presence of premises of imminent risk of a political crisis. This initiative that we are supporting can be explained by this regrettable latent state of affairs. Don’t they say that prevention is better than cure?

So, it is a question of anticipating the crisis through this consultation framework to find a political consensus, legitimately facilitating the return to constitutional order.

Objectively, this responsible national consultation will have on the agenda: the rereading (rediscussions) of the duration and the timetable of the transition, with a view to having a realistic duration and timetable.

At the end of this press conference, the national coordination of the Sacred Union will begin in the coming hours and days to make contacts with all the components of the nation, technical and financial partners with a view to granting our approach has an inclusive and participatory nature.

Despite everything, we are also convinced that Guineans, as in the past, will succeed in overcoming this other decisive turning point in our history through listening and mutual respect.

Long live the Republic!
