The Dutch team that made Pakistan scream – Sema Chasing

After winning the first ODI in Rotterdam, Netherlands by 16 runs, Pakistan lead the series 1-0. But the Netherlands team did not give up and fought back to reach 298/8 against Pakistan’s 314/6.

Pakistan batted first with Baqar Zaman scoring 109 runs and Babar Azam scoring 74 runs and they added 168 runs together. In the end, the Netherlands would have won had it not been for Shatab Khan’s 28-ball 48 and Agha Salman’s 16-ball 27.

Chasing the target, the Netherlands started briskly but wickets fell at regular intervals, half-centuries from Vikramjit Singh (65), captain Scott Edwards (71) and Tom Cooper (65) kept the Netherlands interested, but Pakistan’s death over bowlers outclassed the Netherlands to 298/8. Done.

Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah took 3 wickets each on the Pakistan side, but both were bowled out. Bowler Logan van Beek, who got a big hit in the Netherlands team, gave away 89 runs in 10 overs.

Tom Cooper was dismissed for 65 runs for the Netherlands side. Then wickets fell at regular intervals. In the end, the Netherlands team scored 298 runs for the loss of 8 wickets at the end of 50 overs and lost. Captain Scott Edwards remained unbeaten with 71 runs till the end. Pakistan won by 16 runs and lead the series 1-0.

The highlight of the Netherlands’ chase was 62/3, then 167/5 in the 33rd over, and 131 in the last 17 overs, which gave Pakistan the wicket.

Bagar Zaman was adjudged man of the match.
