The launch of the Luna-25 station is scheduled for July 13, the press service of Roscosmos told TASS. The launch was postponed from 2022 due to technical difficulties.

Luna-25 is the first mission to the Moon in the history of modern Russia. Within its framework, it is planned to send an automatic probe for research in the region of the south pole of the moon. It is expected that the module will be landed near the Boguslavsky crater.

The head of Roskosmos, Yuri Borisov, said in October 2022 that Russia would have the opportunity to land astronauts on the moon in ten years. After the launch of Luna-25, the Luna-26, Luna-27 and Luna-28 missions are also planned.
