The first payment application, SBPay, will be created for the Russian operating system Aurora. The service is developed by the National Payment Card System (NSCP, operator of the Mir payment system and developer SBPay) and the Open Mobile Platform (OMP, a subsidiary of Rostelecom and developer Aurora). The company’s application prototype will be presented at the Forum of Innovative Financial Technologies Finopolis 2023 on November 8, representatives of both companies said. The WMD representative clarified that a full-fledged solution for customers will appear with the release of Aurora version 5.0 in December.
Now the version of SBPay for the Aurora OS is working in test mode, the NSPK representative added. At the forum, through the application, it will be possible to carry out transactions using a QR code and NFC; all funds written off will be sent to a charitable foundation, he explained.
