A statement from the Football Association – received by the (INA) – stated that “The President of the Iraqi Football Federation, Adnan Darjal, met with the youth team coach, Imad Muhammad, and the administrative director, Nadeem Karim, to discuss the team’s preparation program for the upcoming Asian cup finals, and the meeting was attended by members of the Federation’s executive office, Muhammad.” Nasser, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, and Ghalib Al-Zamili.”
The Federation President stressed, “The Federation seeks to provide all means of preparation for the national team, and to implement the program provided by the training staff in preparation for the Asian Cup Finals, which will be held in February of next year.”
He added, ”The team must remain in the lead, and the most important thing is to reach the next World Cup under 20 years.”
Darjal continued, “Among our priorities and concerns is supporting the youth team, the mainstay of our football’s future, and everyone is aware of the grate responsibility placed on our players, as thay are worthy of that responsibility.”
