The great Christmas Verbena in CDMX concludes successfully

After several days of activities and concerts, the Christmas Verbena organized by the capital government came to an end. The past December 30 It was the last day of activities for the New Year celebrations at the Ángel de la Independencia.

According to data from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC)this Christmas event brought together more than half a million people. These activities were present both in the capital’s Zócalo, as well as in the 16 mayor’s offices of the capital.

Some of the most popular events during the Christmas Festival were the free concerts. Artists like Los Cadetes de Linares or Austin TV were the most sought after, the latter brought together more than 90 thousand attendees.

From free shows, concerts, even pastorelas, sale of crafts and food were some of the elements that were part of the Christmas celebrations throughout Mexico City.

Let us remember that this festival had its beginning last December 17 when it was inaugurated by the head of Government, Clara Brugada. Along with them, various ice rinks were also activated for the entertainment of the inhabitants, as well as tourists who arrived in the capital during these dates.

With the conclusion of the Christmas Festival, only the free Polymarchs concert at the Ángel de la Independencia on Paseo de la Reforma on the occasion of the new year on the night of this Tuesday, December 31.
