“For eleven months, 106,000 Chinese cars were imported, which is almost 50% more than last year,” Bulavin said.

According to the head of the FCS, in 2022 trade with Japan fell by almost 36%. He also talked about reducing the import of new cars. “More used cars are imported: the segment of these cars from Japan accounts for about 60%,” Bulavin said.

In November, Vedomosti, citing data from the Main Customs Administration of China, reported that the volume of Chinese cars imported into Russia in October 2022 increased to $560 million in monetary terms, which is 27% more than in January of this year, and is historical. record. The total volume of car imports from China in January-October 2022 amounted to $3.61 billion, which is 31% more than in the same period of the previous year, and already more than in the whole of 2021 ($3.45 billion). In 2019, imports amounted to $1.7 billion, and in 2020 – $1.6 billion.

The structure of car imports for 10 months of 2022 is dominated by cars ($1.08 billion). This is followed by trucks ($1.06 billion), truck cranes and other special vehicles ($250 million) and buses ($970 million), while spare parts and accessories account for another $1.12 billion.
