Every October Cartagena becomes the capital of Hispanidad for a few days thanks to the Héroes de Cavite association, established in March 2020, which for the third year brings together writers, specialists and businessmen in the city to talk about history and the common links of the civilization resulting from the Discovery of Columbus. And precisely this year, the businessmen and the Filipino delegation are the main protagonists of a meeting that has the Asian archipelago as its epicenter.
‘Hispanidad Cartagena’ will host from October 10 to 15 presentations, debates, recreations and all types of activities dedicated to both Spanish history and the future of this community, addressing the perspectives and pending challenges of the Spanish language, Hispanic geostrategy or the economy .
Among the speakers are such prestigious names as Manuel Lucena Giraldo, Alfonso Borrego, José Luis López-Linares, among many others, who will discuss such interesting topics as the engineers of the empire, the Spanish presence in North America or, in the case of the film director, the details of his new film about the first indigenous people from America. Access to the conferences is free until capacity is reached and most events will be held in the Faculty of Business Sciences (CIM Building).
