The Intelligence Agency overthrows a network that trades in human organs in Diyala

The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency announced today, Friday, the overthrow of a network that trafficked human organs in Diyala Governorate.

The agency stated, in a statement received by the (INA), that it “continues its qualitative operations to eliminate trafficking in human beings and human organs, as the agency’s units responsible for combating organized crime in Diyala Governorate monitored information indicating the existence of a network that trades in human organs.”
She added, “Immediately, an intelligence work team was formed and field follow-up was conducted to confirm the accuracy of the information. All members of the network consisting of three defendants were arrested after obtaining due judicial approvals,” stressing that “they will be referred to the judicial authorities to receive their just punishment.”
