Al-Awadi said in a statement – received by the (INA): “The Iraqi government denounced the measures taken by the Zionist entity to ban the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), and what this behavior represents is a dangerous development that has an impact on the humanitarian situation.” And obstructing efforts to deliver aid to the occupied Palestinian territories.”
He added, “UNRWA, which has been working in the humanitarian field in Palestine for more than 75 years, is responsible for supporting and providing relief to an entire refugee population, and the ban on its work by the usurping entity threatens the safety and lives of millions of civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.” “.
He pointed out, “The occupying entity carried out various types of attacks against UNRWA, and directly targeted its workers, in behavior that shows the extent of its disregard for all international values and conventions, and its plan to complete the crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing, which it practices in all hideous forms in the occupied territories.” .
The government called – according to the statement – “the international community to be fair to humanity, and for each country to bear its responsibility in light of international humanitarian law, and to take serious steps towards stopping these serious humanitarian violations.”
