Bangladesh Islami Front has demanded that Maulvi Akramuzzaman be arrested and punished within 24 hours for speaking offensively on the holy Shaba Barat.
The leaders of the party made this demand in the protest program in front of the National Press Club on Tuesday (February 27) afternoon. Advocate Helal Uddin, president of Dhaka Metropolitan Islami Front, presided over the program. Conducted by General Secretary Muhammad Abdul Hakim.
The speakers said, no one in the Muslim society can naturally accept the ugly comments about Shabbat, which are recognized and proven in the Qur’an and Hadith.
Leaders of Bangladesh Islami Front have urged the government to immediately bring Maulvi Akramuzzaman under the law.
The leaders of Bangladesh Islamic Front Kazi Muhammad Jasim Uddin Noori, Firoz Ahmad, Muhibbullah Siddiqui Yameni, Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Mohiuddin Maizbhandari, Muhammad Abdul Hai, Ifradul Islam, Saiful Islam and Abul Hasan also gave speeches in the protest program. Later, when a protest march was taken out, the program was interrupted by the police.
